12 arrested in sex trafficking investigation based in Dougherty County

ALBANY, Ga. (WALB) - Twelve people were arrested in a sex trafficking and commercial sex buyers operation that was based in Dougherty County, the Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) announced on Nov. 10. Of the 12 individuals, 10 of them are from South Georgia.

The GBI said that the operation – called “Operation Raydiant Shadows” – targeted people who traveled from areas near Dougherty County with the intent to purchase sex or sell sex commercially. Officials said the goal of the operation was to draw in commercial sex buyers and sex workers and to identify and arrest human traffickers. The individuals arrested range from age 17 to 58.

The following people were arrested by the GBI and charged:

  • Don Hill (46, from Dawson) was charged with pandering.
  • Alan Adkins (28, from Leesburg) was charged with pandering.
  • William Price (58, from Albany) was charged with pandering.
  • Michael Saxton Evans (43, from Albany) was charged with pandering.
  • Daniel Alexander Chilel-Garcia (17, from Bronwood) was charged with pandering.
  • Malik Yoba Lawrence (26, from Leesburg) was charged with pandering.
  • Mason Conley (32, from Cordele) was charged with pandering.
  • Malcolm Jefferson (40, from Charlotte, NC) was charged with pandering.
  • Patrick Kelly Bushman (52, from Baconton) was charged with pandering.
  • Brandon Denard Mitchell (41, from Arlington) was also charged with pandering and possession of cocaine.
  • Paige Thomas (40, from Alexandria, VA) was also charged with pandering and obstruction.
  • Kyle Pack (37, from Albany) was charged with possession of drugs and outstanding warrants.

The GBI said more arrests may be forthcoming.

This investigation is active and ongoing, the GBI said, and it involved several law enforcement agencies including the Albany-Dougherty Special Investigations Unit (SIU), Albany Police Department, Homeland Security Investigations and the Georgia State Patrol.
