MACON, Ga. (WPGA) - Authorities are responding to reports of a bomb threat at Mercer University this afternoon.
The university said a bomb threat was phoned in to the Myers Admissions Welcome Center on Tuesday.
“The campus community is asked to avoid the area until an all clear has been issued,” the university said in a statement.
The Macon-Bibb County sheriff’s office and fire department are clearing the building, the university said.
