Description

ALBANY, Ga. (WALB) - A driver accidentally put his car into drive instead of reverse, causing his car to break through the front wall and window of The Irishman Barbershop, according to Albany police.

No one was hurt in the accident, but Penny McKelvy, a stylist who was working in the shop at the time, says the car barely missed her and her customer.

“I saw him coming, and before I could even react, he gunned it and came right through the window,” she said. “He was six inches from me. Nobody hurt, thank goodness.”

The impact of the crash busted the front glass window and damaged two walls. Repairmen and an electrician will determine if the store can stay open during repairs.

The driver was cited in the incident.
