ALBANY, Ga. (WALB) – New information has been released following a late-night structure fire in the 500 block of West Highland Avenue, near South Monroe Street in Albany.

According to AFD, officials are still unsure what caused the blaze and have not yet determined whether the structure was occupied. The captain confirmed no deaths have been reported at this time.

The extent of the damage and whether anyone lived in the home, remain unavailable.

Officials say they cannot provide further information at this stage of the investigation.
