Macon, Ga. (WGXA) — Locals may have noticed multiple fire crews in Downtown Macon after a garbage truck was leaking diesel fuel on Friday afternoon.
Just after 2:00 p.m., Macon-Bibb Fire Department crews responded to 450 Third Street after receiving reports about the spill.
Upon arrival, they learned that a Ryland Environmental garbage truck was actively leaking diesel fuel from its damaged fuel tank.

The Macon-Bibb fire department says it posed "no immediate hazard to the public," and crews were able to contain the spill.
Fire crews are still on Third Street to monitor conditions as they clean up the spill.
