THOMASVILLE, Ga. (WCTV) - Traffic is moving again on Smith Avenue after a fire blocked the roadway between Hansell Street and Cherokee Street late Monday night, according to the Thomasville Police Department.

The fire, which broke out in the 800 block of Smith Avenue, has been extinguished. The Thomasville Fire Department confirmed it involved a business, though it did not confirm which one.

No injuries were reported, and the cause of the fire remains under investigation.

Emergency crews responded around 10:30 p.m. Monday, setting up traffic blockades as they worked to put out the flames. All lanes have since reopened.
