ALBANY, Ga. (WALB) — Hundreds in the Albany metro area are without power as thunderstorms roll through Southwest Georgia.
According to Georgia Power, nearly 300 customers are without power in Sasser alone.

Other surrounding areas have reported outages as well. As of 9:30 p.m., people in the following towns are without power, according to Georgia Power:
- Albany:
- East Albany - approximately 147 customers without power
- South Albany/Putney - approximately 19 customers without power
- Baconton - 52 customers without power
- Bainbridge - 14 customers without power
- Dawson - Less than 5 customers without power
- Sasser - 294 customers without power
- Smithville - 5 customers without power
- Valdosta - Less than 5 customers without power
