ALBANY, Ga. (WALB) - Phoebe Hospice received the 2025 Hospice Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (CAHPS) Honors Elite Award, a prestigious national recognition that places the organization among the top-performing hospice agencies in the country.

Presented by MatrixCare, the Honors Elite Award is reserved for hospice organizations that achieve excellence in all 24 quality measures assessed through the Hospice CAHPS survey. This includes the critical “Willingness to Recommend” category, underscoring the trust and satisfaction of patients and their families.

Kim Gilman, who oversees hospice services for Phoebe Putney Health System (PPHS), credits the entire hospice staff with the honor. “This award reflects our team’s constant dedication to providing exceptional, compassionate care. Scoring above the national average in every quality measure demonstrates not only the high standards we uphold, but the heart and empathy our staff brings to their work each day,” said Gilman, President of Phoebe Worth and PPHS Post-Acute Care Services.

From nurses and aides to administrative staff, volunteers, and leadership, every member of the Phoebe Hospice team plays a crucial role in delivering comfort, dignity, and support to those facing end-of-life journeys.
