Description
ALBANY, Ga. (WALB) - The Salvation Army is getting ready for their annual Red Kettle Campaign, which kicks off on Saturday, Nov. 15.
The campaign is a century-long effort to raise funds for families in need during the holiday season. Volunteers stand outside of storefronts and other public places, ringing a bell to encourage donations.
If you would like to donate to the campaign, you can do so at this link.
If you would like to sign up to volunteer as a bell ringer, visit this link.
WALB’s own Karla Heath-Sands sat down to talk with Captain Chris Powell, a corps officer for the Albany Salvation Army corps.
