Description
ALBANY, Ga. (WALB) - Mostly dry with a few showers on Thursday. Then beneficial rain follows on Friday with cooler 70s. A surge of tropical moisture invades SGA with widespread rain that’ll increase in coverage and intensity through the afternoon, evening and overnight. There’s a Slight Risk for excessive rainfall of 1-3″ which may result in flash flooding.
Showers early Saturday but on a lighter note gradually taper off through the afternoon. On Sunday a cold front pushes south with drier air although isolated showers can’t be ruled out.
Next week features tons of sunshine and a taste of fall with delightful below average temperatures. Enjoy highs in the 80s and lows in the 60s.
In the tropics, there’re four areas of interest in the Atlantic. We’re watching all but closely the one to enter the Bay of Campeche (SW Gulf of Mexico) next week. Still too early for eventual track and any potential impacts.
