ALBANY, Ga. (WALB) - The victim in a fatal late-night crash on the Liberty Expressway has been identified.
Officials identified the victim as Javril Grier, 33.
According to the Albany Police Department (APD), on Nov 27, 2025, at around 11:57 p.m. in the 500 block of Liberty Expressway. Officials say a Kia traveling eastbound left the roadway and struck a tree, where the vehicle came to rest and caught on fire moments after.
The driver, a 33-year-old male, was identified and later succumbed to his injuries. This incident remains under active investigation.
