(TND) — In a heartwarming show of sportsmanship, Buffalo Bills fans are reportedly donating in droves to Miami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa's charity.
Tagovailoa took a hit in Thursday night’s game against the Bills that left him with his third diagnosed concussion in three years.
Fans and fellow players are concerned about Tagovailoa’s long-term health.
ESPN Dolphins reporter Marcel Louis-Jacques and the Sideline Tea Podcast, which covers the Dolphins, both reported that Bills fans are showing their compassion by donating to the Tua Foundation, a nonprofit dedicated to the support of youth initiatives, health and wellness, and other charitable causes.
Both reported Friday that nearly 1,000 donations were made totaling about $18,000 following Tagovailoa’s injury the night before.
Louis-Jacques reported that Bills fan accounts soon began sharing the name of Tagovailoa's charity on social media.
And Louis-Jacques reported that a sizable amount of the donations were tracked to the Buffalo area.
