QUITMAN, Ga. (WCTV) - Quitman may be a small South Georgia town but one baker isn’t letting where she’s from stop her from taking her act nationwide.
Brittany Wyche, owner of Bri’s Cookie Creations, is set to make an appearance on the Food Network on Thanksgiving.
“I am from Quitman, Georgia, a small town. I always tell people ‘Hey, do you know where Valdosta is?’ Because Quitman is right next to it. But I’ve always had big dreams,” Wyche said. “Like I’m a dreamer and I’ve always thought bigger than Quitman.”
Wyche launched Bri’s Cookie Creations after becoming a mom. She turned her business into a full-fledged bakery, with customers streaming in ahead of Thanksgiving.
Although she couldn’t give away too many details regarding the show, Wyche said she will be competing in a competition consisting of bakers doing what they normally do, just on a time crunch.

Brittany Wyche, owner of Bri’s Cookie Creations, is set to make an appearance on the Food Network on Thanksgiving.“From a little town, a lot of people did not believe that someone from Quitman could be on Food Network,” she said.
Wyche said she never reached out to the Food Network. They discovered her through social media and then flew her out to California to film the show for about a week.
“It’s nice to be able to start something that I still have very big vision for in Quitman,” Wyche said.
Wyche is a perfectionist. One customer was sent by his mother for a dozen cookies. Wyche carefully arranged a box, even though the cookies will need to be sealed in an airtight container.
And she didn’t want our camera to see one smudge out of place, even on the nose of a perfectly crafted bear cookie.
For those not wanting to miss Wyche’s appearance on the Food Network, she will appear at 9 p.m. Thursday.
