Description

ALBANY, Ga. (WALB) - The Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) has closed US 129 in Echols County.

The site is located less than a mile north of the intersection of SR 94 and US 129.

Traffic has been detoured for emergency road repair. Detours have been set up at that intersection in Statenville and the intersection of US 129 at US 84 in Stockton.

GDOT is coordinating emergency response activities with local contractors. It is unknown when repairs will be complete.
