ALBANY, Ga. (WALB) - The CareSource Foundation awarded a combined $150,000 to two Southwest Georgia organizations to expand health care access in the region.
Albany Area Primary Health Care and the SOWEGA Council on Aging each received $75,000.
Albany Area Primary Health Care’s grant will help expand maternal health support for expecting mothers in rural and economically stressed communities.
Funding awarded to the SOWEGA Council on Aging will support programs to combat isolation and improve mobility for older adults.
