ALBANY, Ga. (WALB) — Three teens are facing charges after allegedly trying to break into someone’s car.

The Albany Police Department says on Sept. 19 around 2:40 a.m., officers went out to a home in the 1000 block of Cedar Avenue. That’s in southwest Albany not far off S Slappey Boulevard.

APD officials say the victim reported hearing a noise near their car and seeing several men dressed in black and wearing masks breaking into the car. Police say the men ran from the area.

Officers later found Kemarion Shavers, 18, near Lee Street and Corn Avenue. He told them he’d been shot and was taken to the hospital.

Police say Braylon Farmer, 18, and Zennoris Tucker, 18, were also found in the area and arrested. Farmer and Tucker were taken to the Dougherty County Jail and charged with entering automobile. Shavers will be charged once he’s released from the hospital, police say.

The investigation is still active.
