ALBANY, Ga. (WALB) — The Albany-Dougherty County Emergency Operations Center will be virtually activated at 5 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 8, ahead of Albany State University’s Homecoming festivities.
The city expects increased activity in downtown Albany and surrounding areas during the homecoming parade and festivities. Officials said they are preparing to help ensure public safety and smooth operations.
The Dougherty County Emergency Management Agency will monitor all events and provide details as needed to the public.
The agency will be available to answer questions from 5 p.m. Thursday through 8 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 11, at (229) 302-1900.
