Description

ALBANY, Ga. (WALB) — The City of Albany Municipal Court is giving residents a chance to clear outstanding legal issues without the threat of arrest.

City officials announced a series of “Warrant Forgiveness Days,” allowing people with unresolved bench warrants, probation warrants, or traffic citations to come forward voluntarily and resolve their cases.

The city said the effort is designed to help residents address pending issues.

During these events, eligible individuals may be able to:

  • Resolve outstanding warrants
  • Address pending traffic citations
  • Work toward reinstating a suspended driver’s license
  • Potentially receive reduced fines or waived fees

The event dates are:

  • May 22, 2026
  • August 28, 2026
  • October 23, 2026

City officials said the goal is to provide an opportunity for individuals to move forward with a clean slate.

For more information, residents can contact the court at 229-431-2865.
