ALBANY, Ga. (WALB) - The Albany Police Department (APD) is searching for a man wanted on child sex crimes.

According to APD, 48-year-old Rufus Bernard Brown, Jr., sexually assaulted a 10-year-old girl and gave her an STD.

He is wanted for several sex crimes including sodomy, child molestation, cruelty to a child in the first degree.

Police say he is last known to be in the 1600 block of Beverly Avenue.

He is described as standing at 5′10 and weighing 160 pounds.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to call APD at (229) 302-0784 or Crime Stoppers at (229) 436-TIPS.
