Description
ALBANY, Ga. (WALB) — Albany police say the two deadly shootings from last week are likely connected.
Albany Police Chief Michael Persley announced today that gang violence is believed to be the motive behind both shootings, which claimed the lives of two individuals Thursday night.
The incidents occurred at separate locations just hours apart.
19-year-old Jamorion King died after being shot in the 600 block of West Highland Avenue Thursday evening.
Later that night, 53-year-old Patricia Duncan was shot while sitting on her front porch.
Chief Persley stated, “Ms. Duncan was not the intended target. We are working diligently to identify those responsible.”
We will have much more on these developments coming up on WALB News 10, starting at 4 p.m.
