Description
MILLER COUNTY, Ga. (WCTV) - Bellview Road in Miller County reopened Wednesday after initially closing for the replacement of the bridge over Big Drain Creek, according to the Georgia Department of Transportation.
In a press release Thursday, Georgia DOT officials revealed that due to its condition, the 1962-built bridge “had posted vehicle weight limits.”
However, the new bridge now has “two 10-foot travel lanes with 4.875-foot shoulders,” officials said.
This update comes after officials announced back in February that Bellview Road would be closed for about 150 days for the replacement of the bridge.
