Bleckley County, Ga. (WGXA) — The Bleckley County Sheriff's Office arrested two people following a house fire on Country Club Rd. on Saturday.

34-year-old Roy Daniel Gaultney and 33-year-old Brittiney Jackson, both of Cochran, were identified by deputies as being allegedly involved in starting the fire at the home.

CRIME | BSO: Stolen vehicle crashes into Pendleton Homes apartment after chase with deputies

They are both facing multiple charges including:

  • Arson in the First Degree
  • Burglary First Degree
  • Criminal Damage to Property- Second Degree
  • Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon
  • Possession of a Firearm during the Comission of Certain Crimes

Gaultney is also facing additional charges following an investigation into a burglary at Crossroads Freewill Baptist Church.

An investigator with the State of Georgia Office of Commissioner of Insurance and Fire Safety assisted Bleckley County deputies with this investigation.
