Description

COFFEE COUNTY, Ga. (WALB) - Just months after receiving a heart transplant, 14-year-old Braylon White has passed away, according to his family.

Braylon’s fight began at just six years old when he was diagnosed with a serious heart condition. After receiving a new heart on April 4, he was able to return home. But shortly after, he fell sick and passed away in the hospital. His parents say he was full of love.

“I love you, son. Yes, I love him. And I can hear him say back, ‘I love you too.’ What we’re going through is traumatic, it’s painful, but we got through it, and we’re getting through it. Anybody who happens to go through it, just keep leaning on God. That’s what’s going to get you through it, that’s what’s getting me through, and him through,” Braylon’s parents told WALB.

Loved ones say Braylon’s fight wasn’t lost, but that he received the ultimate reward, his heavenly home.

They say he will not only be missed, but his legacy will live on in the lives he touched.

Harrell’s Funeral Home in Douglas posted that his celebration of life was held on Saturday, Aug. 30, at 11 a.m.
