Description
ALBANY, Ga. (WALB) - We will get a brief break from the 40s tonight due to a cold front. Southerly winds ahead of the front will funnel in warmer air overnight, increasing cloud cover and overnight lows into the 50s. Little rain will fall with this system, and clouds will clear through the morning. Temperatures claw into the upper 70s tomorrow with sunny skies.
For the rest of the week, overnight lows will return to the 40s, along with afternoon highs near 80 degrees. Sunny skies persist until Sunday, where chances for rain rise, and stay up through the beginning of next week. Temperatures next week will range in the upper 70s in the afternoon to near 60 in the early morning.
TROPICS UPDATE: Tropical Storm Melissa has formed, and, as of now, will likely not impact the Gulf coast. However, interests in South Florida and the Bahamas should closely monitor the forecast.
