CLIMAX, Ga. (WALB) - Decatur County Fire and Rescue responded to a brush fire in the Climax area that spread and burned several outbuildings used for storage.
Crews were able to bring the fire under control before it caused further damage. No injuries were reported.
Officials expressed their appreciation to the Climax Volunteer Fire Department for assisting on scene, noting that their support and dedication played a key role in containing the fire.
A special thank you was also extended to the volunteer firefighters who gave their time and effort to protect lives and property during the incident. Decatur County Fire and Rescue additionally thanked the Decatur County Sheriff’s Office and Survival Flight EMS for their support and assistance.
Emergency officials say incidents like this highlight the importance of cooperation among agencies, adding that working together helps keep the community safe.
