City of Albany to operate Operation Safe Place

ALBANY, Ga. (WALB) - Due to the freezing temperatures expected overnight on Thursday, Nov. 27, and Friday, Nov. 28, the City of Albany will activate Operation Safe Place to provide people with a warm place to stay overnight.

The Albany Transit Center at 300 W. Oglethorpe Boulevard will be open from 6 p.m. to 7 a.m. on Thursday and Friday.

The transit Center will resume regular operations at 7 a.m. on Friday and Saturday, November 29.
