Description

COFFEE COUNTY, Ga. (WALB) – What began as a holiday celebration on July 4th ended in handcuffs for one Coffee County woman following a domestic dispute that turned physical.

Deputies with the Coffee County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of an assault at a residence on Lagens Way. Upon arrival, they spoke with the complainant, who alleged that she had been physically assaulted during a confrontation at the location.

After conducting an on-scene investigation and gathering statements from eyewitnesses, deputies identified 50-year-old Bonnie Marie Doque as the primary aggressor in the incident.

Doque was located shortly afterward and taken into custody without incident.

She was charged with Simple Battery in violation of O.C.G.A. 16-5-23 and transported to the Coffee County Pre-Trial Detention Center, where she remains in custody as of this report.
