COFFEE COUNTY, Ga. (WALB) – At Coffee High School, Head Football Coach Mike is doing more than teaching play—he’s teaching life.

Every other Tuesday, Coach Mike holds life skills sessions for his players, covering real-world topics like how to change a tire, purchase a car, build credit, and even tie a tie. His goal? To prepare his athletes for life beyond the game.

“Football doesn’t last forever,” he told WALB. “But being a great man, a role model, a husband, and a father—that’s something that lasts a lifetime.”

Coach Mike says the sessions are part of his mission to invest in his players as people, not just athletes.
