CORDELE, Ga. (WALB) - The Crisp County Sheriff’s Office is warning residents about a text message scam targeting citizens in the area.
Residents have received text messages asking them to take a survey, according to the sheriff’s office. Officials said they spoke with the county administrator and confirmed Crisp County is not sending these texts to residents.
The sheriff’s office is advising residents to avoid clicking any links in the messages, not to respond and not to share personal information.
