WASHINGTON (TNND) — The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) is using imagery from "South Park" to its advantage, after the season premiere mocked President Donald Trump and showed him in bed with Satan.

The DHS account on X advertised recruitment for Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) alongside a photo of the show's animation with several people wearing masks covering the bottom of their faces, sitting in a black vehicle labeled ICE.

"JOIN.ICE.GOV," the DHS wrote in the post.

Just before the post, "South Park" released a teaser for the next episode, featuring an animation of a woman closely resembling Homeland Secretary Kristi Noem. The character is shown pointing a gun in the air and wearing a vest that reads "POLICE ICE."

“‘Got A Nut’: When Mr. Mackay loses his job, he desperately tries to find a new way to make a living,” the account posted on X.

In a statement to Newsweek, DHS thanked the show for helping its recruitment efforts.

“We are calling on patriotic Americans to help us remove murderers, gang members, pedophiles, and other violent criminals from our country," a spokesperson said. "Benefits available to new ICE recruits include an up to $50,000 signing bonus, student loan forgiveness, and retirement benefits. Apply today at join.ice.gov."

"South Park" co-creator Trey Parker offered an insincere apology at San Diego Comic Con after the show's 27th season premiere.

"We're terribly sorry,” Parker said -- followed by a long, deadpan-comic stare -- after he was asked about the White House's reaction to the episode.

White House spokesperson Taylor Rogers issued a statement, noting that the show "hasn’t been relevant for over 20 years and is hanging on by a thread."

"South Park" responded to the post from DHS on X by reposting it and writing, "Wait, so we ARE relevant? #eatabagofd***s."

The season premiered days after Parker and Matt Stone reportedly agreed to a $1.5 billion deal with Paramount Plus.
