ALBANY, Ga. (WALB) — A man was found guilty of all charges Wednesday, Oct. 14, in two separate Dougherty County cases that were tried together.
According to the District Attorney’s Office, the verdict came down in just 25 minutes.
In one case, 38-year-old Shan Harp was found guilty of incest and child molestation.
According to the indictment, Harp committed sexual acts involving a minor under the age of 16 in December 2019.

In the second case, Harp was found guilty of aggravated sodomy, aggravated child molestation and incest.
That indictment alleges Harp committed sexual acts involving another minor, this time under the age of 10. Officials say those acts occurred sometime between May 2019 and May 2020.
The Dougherty County District Attorney’s Office released a statement following the verdict:
“We are very grateful that the jury made the right decision to hold Shan Harp accountable for his horrific crimes against children. Our office remains steadfast in our commitment to protect citizens in our community from such heinous acts, especially those committed against the most vulnerable.”
Sentencing for Harp will take place at a later date.
