ALBANY, Ga. (WALB) —A Dougherty County mother faces a seven-count indictment in connection with the death of her 3-year-old son, Braxton Swiney.

India Swiney faces charges of malice murder, two counts of felony murder, aggravated assault and family violence, murder in the second degree, and cruelty to children in the first and second degrees.

According to the indictment, Swiney allegedly caused Braxton’s death by striking him in the head with an unknown blunt object.
