NEW YORK, N.Y. (CNN) — New York Harbor hosted a Sept. 11 commemoration Wednesday night.

The drone show featured 2,977 lights, one for each victim who died in the attacks.

It then displayed full-scale outlines of the Twin Towers.

Organizers said the art installation was developed with input from members of the 9/11 community, including families, survivors and first responders.

Friday marks 25 years since the 9/11 terrorist attacks in New York, Washington and Pennsylvania.
