Description
ALBANY, Ga. (WALB) - The only sensible weather that’s conforming to the fall season are the morning low temperatures this week. Dry air over SGA will allow for overnight lows in the 50s which will quickly rise into the 80s, around 30 degrees warmer than morning lows. This trend will continue through much of the work week. Dressing in layers will be the key!
Unfortunately, the dry air mass in place means drought conditions will persist or worsen over the area this week. All of our area is at a minimum in moderate drought, with areas south and east of Albany in severe or extreme drought. The next chance of rainfall won’t arrive until this weekend with a weakening cold front moving through the region, but it will bring only a slight chance of some scattered showers.
