VALDOSTA, Ga. (WALB) — Ella’s Top Corral hosted a community block party to celebrate the original owner’s birthday and the legacy built over 50 years.

On Aug. 6, Ella, the woman behind the name of ‘Ella’s Top Corral,’ celebrated her birthday.

Ella’s Top Corral has been a staple in the southside community. Nick Perry, owner of Ella’s, says the community block party was a way to celebrate the legacy that his grandmother built and give back to the community that has supported their family for 5 decades.

The event included local vendors, food trucks, live music , a kids zone, and two special competitions: Turnover Eating Competition and Citizen’s BEST BURGER Competition.

Fairway Tavern was the winner of the burger competition and the burger will be featured on Ella’s menu for one week.
