ALBANY, Ga. (WALB) - Skies will be mostly cloudy to start Father’s Day, but a few isolated showers and storms may move in during the morning. However, coverage for rainfall will pick up during the afternoon and evening. Showers and storms will not be severe, but flash flooding, lightning, and gusty winds will remain possible. Temperatures will be hot and humid in the low 90s. Lows will return to the muggy 70s overnight.
Next week is expected to remain hot, humid, and stormy, with showers and storms returning each afternoon and evening. The main threats each day are heavy rainfall and gusty winds. Temperatures will stay in the 90s for highs, with heat index values climbing toward the triple digits.
