GEORGIA. (WALB) - Officials from the Sumter County Fire Department have warned Georgia residents of the high fire danger conditions due to low relative humidity.
The National Weather Service in Peachtree City, Ga. issued a statement that stated “Relative Humidities of 25 percent or less can be expected for 4 or more hours this afternoon into the evening. Winds will be northwest at 8 to 13 mph”.
Sumter County Fire Department advises referring to your local burn permitting authorities if you burn outside, and if you do, to use extreme caution.
