Description

Our First Alert meteorologists have declared Saturday as a First Alert Weather Day. A severe threat lies across our Southern-most counties, with a marginal to slight risk. Counties that could see impacts include Decatur, Thomas, Lowndes, Echols, and Clinch. A widespread 1″-2″+ of rain is expected in the morning, with a 5% chance of flooding and hail. The largest threat will be a 15% chance of damaging winds. There is a 2% chance for tornados.

Today, showers are likely off and on through the day. Temperatures will warm into the lower 70s. Showers transition to steady rain this evening and turn to heavy rain overnight into Saturday morning.

SUNDAY: The rest of the weekend features a chilly start and perfect sunny afternoon.

EARLY WEEK: Chilly to cool start, and warming afternoon are expected with tons of sun.

MID-LATE WEEK: Warmth and humidity and an approaching cold front bring a good chance of shower and storm Wednesday night-Thursday.
