Description
GEORGIA (WALB) - As temperatures begin to drop across the state, StepStone Family & Youth Services of Georgia is once again stepping in to ensure children in foster care feel warmth, comfort, and a sense of belonging this winter through its annual “Wrapped in Love” blanket drive.
StepStone will be accepting donations of new and gently used blankets from February 2, 2026, through February 13, 2026, at locations across the state.
Each year, Wrapped in Love mobilizes community members, partners, and volunteers throughout Georgia to donate blankets, providing foster youth with a tangible reminder that they are cared for and supported by their community.
“Oftentimes, foster youth move in and out of foster homes without an item that truly feels like their own or brings the comfort of home,” said LaShay Wilson, Executive Director at StepStone Family & Youth Services of Georgia. “This blanket drive is a powerful reminder that even a simple blanket can provide warmth, security, and a sense of belonging. By donating, you can make a lasting impact in the lives of the children we serve.”
Since its inception in 2020, Wrapped in Love has become a cornerstone of StepStone’s commitment to meeting both the emotional and practical needs of children and families, especially during times when they may feel most vulnerable.
StepStone Family & Youth Services has operations in nine states and is organizing blanket drives at all its locations this winter.
