HAHIRA, Ga. (WALB) - A longtime community tradition is getting a fresh twist this year as Hahira leaders partner with a local motorcycle group to bring new energy to a familiar event.
The “Stripes, Stars & Handlebars Motorcycle Parade” is replacing the city’s previous golf cart parade, thanks to a collaboration with Ten Eight Law Enforcement Motorcycle Club (LEMC). Organizers say the change is already gaining traction and drawing increased interest from the community.
According to organizer Jennifer Price, the revamped parade is not only about showcasing motorcycles but also about giving back. Instead of a standard entry fee, participants are asked to donate a children’s book. Those donations will go directly to local childcare facilities, supporting young readers across the area.

The event welcomes all types and aims to bring together riders, families, and community members for a fun, patriotic celebration.
The parade is set for Saturday, June 27, in Hahira, with lineup beginning at 5:45 p.m. and kickstands up at 6:30 p.m.
Organizers hope the new format will continue to grow, blending community spirit, charitable giving, and a shared love for the open road.
