Description
SOUTH GEORGIA (WALB) - A heat advisory has been issued for several South Georgia counties until 8 p.m. on Monday.
According to the National Weather Center (NWS), heat index values around 108 are expected.
The following counties are under a heat advisory:
- Brooks County
- Crisp County
- Dooly County
- Decatur County
- Grady County
- Lanier County
- Lowndes County
- Seminole County
- Stewart County
- Sumter County
- Thomas County
- Webster County
- Wilcox County
NWS is warning that hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat illness.
