ALMA, Ga. (WALB) - WALB is learning more after allegations of theft were made against a Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) agent following the execution of a search warrant in Bacon County.

GBI gave WALB the following statement:

"We are aware of the complaint regarding allegations of theft against a GBI agent. The allegations of theft were made after GBI’s Southeastern Regional Drug Enforcement Office obtained and executed a search warrant at 603 East 7th Street, Alma, Georgia, the property of Jeneco Muurs -El who is also the complainant. At the search warrant, agents seized evidence of suspected drugs, drug-making material, and guns. The criminal investigation remains active. As with any official complaint, the GBI Office of Professional Standards is investigating."
