ALBANY, Ga. (WALB) - Drivers in Albany should expect traffic impacts on South Broadway Street as crews work to repair an active water leak that has caused a partial road collapse.

City officials say both northbound and southbound lanes of S. Broadway Street between Broad Avenue and Oglethorpe Boulevard have been narrowed effective immediately. Crews are currently on scene repairing the leak, and lane restrictions will remain in place until all necessary repairs are completed.

Motorists are urged to use caution while traveling through the area and consider using alternate routes to avoid potential delays.

Officials have not provided a timeline for when the roadway will fully reopen.
