ALBANY, Ga. (WALB) - A lawn mower was reported stolen on Aug. 4 from Nut Tree Pecan Company’s property in Albany, located on West Town Road, according to the Albany Police Department (APD). The owner of the lawn mower told APD that the Husqvarna lawn mower is worth about $3,400.

No suspects have been named at this time.

The lawn mower is orange and gray with 54” blades, according to its owner, Oliver Price. Price said he last saw the lawn mower at about 1 p.m. on July 30.

APD said in a press release that Price reported the lawn mower missing at about 1 p.m. on Monday. He told police that he cuts the grass for the pecan company and leaves his lawn mower on the property in between cuts. Price went to the Nut Tree Pecan Company on Monday to check if the grass needed to be cut when he noticed that the entrance gate, which is usually closed with a chain and lock, was already open, APD said. Price reported that the chain appeared to be cut.

APD said that this case is active and ongoing.
