Description
ALBANY, Ga. (WALB) - A 5-year-old from Lee County was chosen to hit and run the bases at the Savannah Bananas game Saturday, Feb. 28, night in Tallahassee.
Grady Griffin took the field in front of 67,000 fans at a sold-out Doak Campbell Stadium. His family said Grady is normally shy, but his love for baseball took over.
He wore his full Bananas uniform to the game — from his jersey down to his cleats. When a team representative asked if he was ready to take the field, the T-ball player did not hesitate.
Grady rounded the bases during the pre-game.
