LEESBURG, Ga. (WALB) — The Lee County Sheriff’s Office (LCSO) is asking for the public’s help locating a man wanted on multiple felony fraud warrants across Georgia and North Carolina.

Javoris Sentell Bland, 35, is wanted in Lee County on two felony counts of theft by deception and one felony count of financial transaction card fraud, according to the sheriff’s office.

Warrants span multiple jurisdictions

Bland is also wanted by authorities in Douglasville, Albany, and Americus, Georgia, as well as Boone, North Carolina, for similar crimes, the sheriff’s office said. The charges are related to identity fraud and financial transaction card fraud.

Bland has accumulated 11 arrest warrants across Georgia and North Carolina, according to the sheriff’s office.

Warning to those assisting Bland

The sheriff’s office issued a warning to those who may be helping Bland avoid capture.

“This is now the 3rd time we’ve posted his wanted status and we know that everyone is aware of him being a fugitive,” the sheriff’s office said. “So, if we find that someone is assisting him in his efforts to elude capture, they can certainly expect to join him in our jail.”

How to help

Officials said Bland is actively avoiding capture. Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to contact the Lee County Sheriff’s Office at 229-759-6012. Authorities ask that the public not attempt to approach Bland directly.

The sheriff’s office also issued a broader warning: “We encourage anyone engaged in criminal activity to get out and stay out of Lee County.”
