Description
ALBANY, Ga. (WALB) - A cold front has ushered in a cooler start to this Thursday, but we are heating up quickly into the afternoon. Highs today will rise into the low to mid-90s with less humidity due to the frontal passage. Clouds will move out with an abundance of sunshine this afternoon. Tonight, we return to the low to mid-60s along with mostly clear skies.
Friday and Saturday feature dry and seasonably hot conditions. High pressure keeps rain chances out of the forecast, but winds out of the southwest will drive up humidity into Sunday. Sunday will be one of the hottest and most humid days this week as we climb into the mid-90s. Rain chances remain low.
A new frontal system arrives, driving in southwesterly flow to moisten up the atmosphere by Monday. This will aid in possible rain chances on Memorial Day as a sea breeze pushes inland. The humidity will make temperatures in the 90s feel much warmer. A low-pressure system will move closer to South Georgia, bringing a cold front for showers and storms through the middle of the week.
