SOUTH GEORGIA (WALB) Summer is here, and kids are out of school.
The question now is, where can my kid go for camp?
To help you narrow it down, here is a list of summer camps available for your child and how you can get them enrolled:
DOUGHERTY COUNTY
- Student Summer Camp 2025 by First Baptist Church of Albany will be held from June 10-14. The camp is open to completed 7th through 12th graders. Registration is $100, and camp is $285 per student. Spots are limited. Click here to register.
- Kids ages 5-12 are able to attend the four-week-long FlintRiverQuarium & Thronateeska Summer Camp. Camp sessions are $140 per week. After camp care is $10 per day and $40 per week. For more information, click here.
- Camp Chehaw will be held from May 27 through Aug. 5 for kids ages 4-12. Each day of camp includes a trip to the zoo, animal encounters, games and crafts, a snack, and a camp T-shirt. Registration can be found here.
LOWNDES COUNTY
- Camp ARROW, located at Camp Tygart is a week-long residential camp designed for the special needs of children with two or more disabilities ages 7-14. The camp will be from June 1-5. At the camp, children will go swimming, do arts and crafts, enjoy music, and play games. The forms needed to enroll your child, or children, in the camps can be found here.
- The Turner Center for the Arts is offering Youth Summer Camps for ages 5-12. A one-day camp, as well as three four-day camps, are available. The one-day camp is on June 11 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The four-day camp is June 2-5, June 16-19, and June 23-26 – all from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day. Campers will create their own art pieces using different mediums. TIFT COUNTY
- Tiftarea YMCA is holding summer camp from May 29 through July 31 from 7 a.m.-6 p.m. Monday through Friday. Registration is $30 for members and $35 for non-members. The cost to attend is $95 per week for members and $115 per week for non-members. To register, click here.
THOMAS COUNTY
- The Thomasville YMCA has several summer camps available: Camp Pineywods, Rose City Camp, Gymnastics Camps, Sports Camps, STEM Camp, and Archery Camp. The camps are available on different days throughout the summer. The information sheet for each camp can be found here. To register, click here.
