THOMASVILLE, Ga. (WALB) - The Thomas County Sheriff’s Office arrested a man in connection with a string of burglaries in Thomas County.

On Thursday, March 19, officers received information from Mobile, Alabama Police Department detectives regarding Brandon Wayne Owens, a known burglar of new construction homes who was seen in Thomas County, according to the sheriff’s office.

Investigators said they spoke with a local housing developer who stated that Owens previously burglarized homes in the Thomasville area between Feb. 20 and Feb. 22.

According to investigators, Owens is accused of breaking into the following homes and stealing appliances:

• 400 block of South Street — Owens broke into the home through a window and stole a refrigerator
• 100 block of Woodson Way — Owens stole a refrigerator on March 19
• 200 block of Bailey Circle — Owens broke into the home and stole a range oven between March 17 and March 20

On Friday, March 20, Owens was arrested and charged with three counts of second-degree burglary, according to the Thomas County Sheriff’s Office. He is being held at the Thomas County Jail.
