Man arrested on child molestation charges in Thomasville

THOMASVILLE, Ga. (WALB) - A man has been taken into custody on child molestation charges in Thomasville, officials said.

On June 3, the Thomasville Police Department (TPD) started an investigation into a reported sexual assault.

Through the investigation, TPD identified the suspect as a 34-year-old Joenoris Taylor, according to TPD.

Arrest warrants were secured, and a search warrant was done at a residence in the 1000 block of Bluebird Avenue. Taylor was not at the home, but he was later contacted and turned himself in to the Thomas County Jail, said police.

Taylor has been charged with the following:

  • Rape
  • Aggravated Child Molestation
  • Kidnapping
  • False Imprisonment

He is currently being held at the jail without bail, TPD said.
